Pickard Roofing had the opportunity to work with Jackie and David MacLeod on their beautiful historic home in Durham, North Carolina - The Manning House. It is always exciting to work with a family who loves their home, and remains dedicated to preserving its historical significance.
The Manning House was built in 1880 by the former NC Attorney General James S. Manning. The home exemplifies the Queen Anne Victorian architecture which has been maintained by generations of restoration enthusiasts. In the mid-1980’s, the house was featured in the movie “Bull Durham” – and remains a nostalgic memory for fans.
With the intricate details on this home and multiple types of roofing involved, Tyler Pickard explains:

Jackie and David gave us a tour of the interior home, and let us tell you – it is no less impressive. The decorated high ceiling medallions, ornate mantlepieces, staircase and light left us awestruck. As an 80’s graduate of Duke University, there was no doubt “That is why Bull Durham chose this home!”
